Aleksi Leonov
Aleksei Arkhipovich Leonov was born on May 30, 1934 in Listvyanka.
Leonov became the first person to walk in space on March 18, 1965, during the Voskhod 2 mission.
Leonov commanded Soyuz 19 during the Apollo-Soyuz mission in July of 1975.
From 1976 to 1982, Leonov was the "Chief Cosmonaut" and deputy director of the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Centre.
