Cineroc
The Estes Cineroc was a movie camera launched on a model rocket. The Omega, a two-stage D-motor rocket, was designed to carry the Cineroc.
The Cineroc took twenty seconds of 8mm movie film at about 30 frames per second. When played back at the typical 18 frames per second, a slow-motion effect was produced.
Roger Smith is building an upscale Cineroc which carries a digital camcorder. The project is described in the PayloadBay.com article "My Current Project - Upscaled Cineroc/Omega."
