Frank KosdonFranklin L. Kosdon was a pioneer of high-power rocketry.
The October 25, 1961 issue of MIT's "The Tech" newspaper includes an article titled "Develop New Rocket Fuel." The article reports that Frank Kosdon and Ronald Winston of the MIT Rocket Research Society won a $1000 award from the American Rocket Society. The two won the award for a paper they co-authored called "Experimental Development of an Isocyanate Solid Propellant." The paper described the formula for a safe propellant for amateur rocket use - similar to what most hobbyist use today. Links: |
