Fred HaiseAstronaut Fred Wallace Haise, Jr. was born on November 14, 1933, in Biloxi, Mississippi. Haise was the Lunar Module Pilot on Apollo 13.
In the early 1970s, Haise was technical assistant to the Manager of the Space Shuttle Orbiter Project. He commanded one of the two crews who piloted the space shuttle Approach and Landing Test (ALT) flights in 1977. References: |
