- MMA Becomes NAR (October 25, 1958) - The Model Missile Association was renamed to the National Association of Rocketry on October 25, 1958. An amendment to the articles of incorporation was filed in Colorado to change the name of the association; define the Board of Trustees as a body not to exceed thirteen members; and to define Junior, Senior, and Honorary membership classes.
