PayloadA rocket's payload consists of the crew, passengers, cargo, instruments, or equipment carried by the rocket.
Some sport rockets have a special payload section. This is usually a separate section of the body tube where a payload, such as an egg, altimeter, or camera may be placed. Payload sections are sometimes made of clear tubes so that the rocket's payload is visible while in the rocket.
